The Motor Cycling Club’s (founded in 1901) 86th Exeter Trial

This Long Distance Reliability Trial will start at 19:30 on Friday 9th and finish on Saturday the 10th January 2015.

There are classes for Pre 1970 Solos, Solos less than 450cc, Solos over 450cc, Sidecars and Three Wheelers and cars.  There are three starting points for these classes: Sourton Cross (near Okehampton) Cirencester, Popham Airfield and (near Basingstoke).  Competitors converge on the Haynes Museum in Somerset and then follow a common, 270 mile, route to the Finish at Torquay.  

A start point this year is Sourton Cross, where some MCC competitors will be leaving from 7.30pm on Friday evening. Locally the best places to view are Fingle Bridge, Drewsteignton or  Simms Hill, Ilsington.
First motorcycles are due at 8.00 am:  Fingle Bridge 9.00 am: Sawmill observed test {old Clifford Sheds} 10.40 am: Simms This year there is a Park and Ride for spectators just outside Ilsington village.
